BYD wholesale 440,293 in August (+17.8% y/y); overseas about 188,746 (+134.6%). Chery Group 280,128; exports 196,984 (+52.1%), 70.3% of group volume; cumulative exports cited at 7.18 million. Li Auto delivered 37,679.

- BYD: 440,293 vehicles (+17.8% y/y). Passenger cars 433,384. Overseas about 188,746 (+134.6% y/y) — more than 40% of the month. Dynasty+Ocean 375,373; Fang Cheng Bao 41,568; Denza 16,001.
- Chery Group: 280,128 (+15.4%). NEV 120,909 (+69.8%). Exports 196,984 (+52.1%), 70.3% of group volume. Trade press: cumulative exports 7.18 million, first Chinese group through 7 million.
- Li Auto: 37,679 deliveries (+32.1% y/y, +23.7% m/m). L9 Kazakhstan assembly remains a 2027 series-production story, not an August SOP.
The overseas gap between Chery and BYD shrank to under 8,000 units in August (about 7,514 on one desk count). That is a China wholesale race. It does not set Almaty or Tashkent stickers.
Desk takeaway: keep CBU China and local CKD/official retail on separate SKUs. Do not paste group export ranks onto a yard invoice.
